Professor Harang has developed and taught dozens of university courses on peace theory, history, political science and peace philosophy since 2020.

He is currently based at Soka University of America, in southern California, where he has been a full-time professor since January 2023. Harang currently teaches classic philosophy, peace philosophy and nuclear disarmament diplomacy at SUA.

Professor Harang is also Senior Peace Researcher at the Ikeda Center for Peace, Learning and Dialogue in Boston, Massachusetts.

Professor Harang serves as Senior Research Fellow at the Soka Institute for Global Solutions. In this role, Harang has a special focus on the nuclear disarmament issues.
